The Peacock Group Expands Public Relations Team
The Peacock Group announced today the expansion of its team with the appointment of Allyson Pittman Gattin, APR, as public relations director, a new position for the agency, and the promotion of Amy Westlake to public relations manager. Gattin and Westlake have nearly 25 years of combined experience in the public relations industry.
“As we near our eighth anniversary, TPG continues to provide our clients with the most creative, mission-driven communications strategies that leave a strong impression,” said Denver Peacock, APR, founder and principal at The Peacock Group. “With the addition of Allyson and Amy’s expanded role, we will continue to meet our clients’ needs and broaden our capabilities and offerings.”
A third-generation public relations professional, Gattin has nearly 12 years of experience in non-profit and for-profit industries. She recently served as the manager of marketing and public relations at CARTI, where she led the communications strategy for the statewide cancer care provider.
“With her proven track record of strategic storytelling and strengthening company brand and awareness, we look forward to seeing how Allyson's unique skillset will serve our clients,” said Peacock. “Additionally, this is an exceptionally personal hire for me because Allyson's mother, Stacy Sells, hired me when I returned to Arkansas 20 years ago. It's very meaningful to be able to hire Stacy’s daughter to join our team.”
Gattin serves on the board of the Central Arkansas Diaper Bank, a community resource that provides free diapers to families in need, and is a member of Leadership Greater Little Rock, Class XXXII. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and recently earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), becoming the third generation in her family to do so.
Westlake has been a member of The Peacock Group since May 2018. At the firm, she focuses on media relations, content creation, social media and event planning.
Before joining TPG in 2018, she served as communications manager and director of marketing and audience engagement at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and development coordinator for Make-A-Wish Mid-South. A sports enthusiast, she spent three years in THV11’s sports department as a reporter, photographer and Hog Zone producer.
A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, she is a member of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class of XXXIII. She and her husband, Drew, have a son, Liam, and two doodles, Summer and Shandy.
“Over the nearly four years since joining TPG, Amy has proven herself to be a valued resource for our clients,” said Peacock. “With a knack for creating compelling content that furthers our clients’ missions, she is a critical part of our agency, and I look forward to watching her succeed in her new role.”
